Info about Archons revealed in interview with Chris Sigaty

Chris Sigaty discusses starcraft 2 units in video at http://www.gametrailers.com/player/22205.html?type=flv. He talks about the new starcraft 2 units and makes some very interesting statements about archons.

First, he says that the new Twilight Archon is made to replace the original Archon and that it will take 2 high templars to make them. He also says at this point the Dark Archons are out.

Another interesting thing is that he mentions in SC1 normal Archons took 3 High Templars to create. If memory serves me it takes 2 HT's to make an Archon in normal SC.

There is other information about units that may be new to you so I recomend watching the video. The information about the Archons is just what struck me as the most interesting.

 

Nice, but 3 things:

1: He's an idiot, 3 High Templars to make an Archon? Did he even play Starcraft?
2: Cut off your #$%$ing hair, an hippie making a war game, we're screwed =[
3: He looked high or something, kept opening his eyes biiig like that: O.O

edit: Dark Archons better come back, they were so good with Archons/High Templars at killing Zergs ='(

 

wow, archons would be very costly, 150 minerals and 450 gas? well maybe not, i forgot the HT prices, i dont play protoss that often, im more for terran

 

Yeah that price exactly. I wonder how long he played SC1.

 

He couldn't have played it very much. I don't think anyone could forget the frustration of watching to HT's circling eachother over and over again waiting for the two little sob's to morph into an archon.

 

acutally ive been playing on and off for the past 4 years, and ya, i felt pretty ashamed about for getting that, but it more when they PS my goliaths that frustrats me

 

I mean, how much time did that guy in the interview played <.<

 

Wow... that's saddening. Oh well, i bet most of his talk is hogwalsh, and the ta takes a dark templar and a high templar.

 

The reporter should have just pwned him right there on the spot. It would have served him right and served us some comfort and lols.

Sucks that Dark Archons are out. Maybe they'll make it in the expansion?

That quote he talked about needing 3 High Templars really made my day. That was soo funny. I mean, if he just said, in SC1, we need 3 HT to get an Archon, than it's fine. But he went on and explained, In Sc2, you only need 2, so they are easier to access. LOL, that just made my day. I wonder what he will do when he goes back to Blizzard, and they all laughed at him at saying that.

 

Dear God, I think the scariest part of that interview for me was when I read "Lead Producer" down by his name. Haha, hopefully this won't reflect the direction in which the game is heading ;D.

 

Indeed. I still can't believe he said that. Come on, you are the lead producer. You know better than that.

 

producers just pay the bills. designers are the ones that do the designing...

rofl, what is it with you guys, Chris Sigaty makes a silly slipup and everyone calls him noob.
You do realize he was on the development team for SC1 and broodwar and knows more about sc than anyone outside of blizzard.
