A universal infected anything would be great, but at what cost?? At what cost??? Undead has the ability to mind control anything they want (okay maybe not ANYTHING) but I rarely see banshees in game. The possibility doesn't always cross the boundary of reality I'm afraid...

Ah well, I just want zerg to be imba, is that so much to ask?

A fleet of Infested Battlcruisers Nukes...heck, why not just Infested Nukes? They could spread the creep or something...actually that would be cool! Infested Nuke a person's external base, and all their buildings blow up. Then a huge field of creep appears, and before it slowly disappears, move in your own drones and take over the place! Ingenious! Give me power! Lol jk.

I was only joking. Of course Nukes have no organic components. But infesting the ghosts that launch the nukes and modifying the warheads to have creep-spreading properties...

It could have strategical, albeit expensive, uses. Just like the Orb of Blight in WCIII, sometimes Zerg need to get creep somewhere, and in less time than it takes to build a Hatchery. Now, a nuke is a little overkill and expensive to do it, but it is faster, by like 300% (if I remember correctly, Hatcheries were 45 and nukes roughly 15 to land, max, not counting build times).

There is a Fungal Missile in Alpha Centauri. You can use it as a weapon- wiping out enemies' income and increasing mind worm attacks on their bases, or, if you can get more resources from fungus than forests, fire them at yourself...and just put up with the extra mind worm assaults.

mm, it gets kinda boring and annoying proposing everything will be infested and hybrids will be running about.

Yeah, I honestly hope there is like 1 hybrid protoss/zerg unit made by Duran and his Xel'Naga friends and then maybe an infested protoss thing since that would make sense being as auir was crushed.

The idea of the zerg infesting a battlecruiser (and subsequently the idea of infesting any terran unit) is too much like the protoss dark archon's mind control ability. Since Blizzard is trying to make each unit and each race and each special ability as distinct as possible, I highly doubt the zerg can infest the BC. In fact I don't think the zerg can infest any unit at all, hence they replaced infested terrans with banelings.

But the DA might be out, and infestation is a key to the Zerg mythos.
