The Immortals contain the bodies of "dead" Zealots, so that makes them organic right?
Well, in that case, wouldn't they get owned by the Ghosts with their snipe attack? (which only works aganinst ground organic units and does 150 damage) I mean, immortals will almost certainly be a lot more expensive than Ghosts AND Ghosts will be a lower tier unit in Starcraft 2 while the Immortal is much later.

If this would be the case, than the Immortals would have a pretty big problem in my opinion. And don't come saying "they are fully mechanic because they have shields and look like robots" 'cause the Dragoons were organic to and the Immortals are nothing more than upgraded Dragoons.

    Opinions anyone?

they may be organic, but they are powered by machines.

You could target their crippled little bodies, yeah, but since nobody will use them without researching hardened shield, you're bound to be punished.

They're totally covered in armor and won't be able to get sniped. :)

dragoons could be locked down, so they are mechanical. immortals are like dragoons, which means ghost shouldn't be able to snipe them

Yeah, but you could shoot through their armor at the organic parts once their shields are gone. Since they are able to damage tanks and stuff like that, I guess they have armor piercing bullets.
And they may be powered by machines, they won't do much without a brain steering it since they aren't thinking robots.

by that argument you should be able to snipe tanks, *you would shoot through the tank cannon and kill the operator inside* ::)

Ouch, that's a pretty strong argument.
But that would be way to C&C Generals style, were you could snipe the drivers in the Vehicles. I liked that, but it got getting pretty annoying after a while.

lol. it suddenly reminds me of command and conquer: generals.

the immortals are mechanical units which cannot be killed by sniper. period.

EDIT: i can't believe i just repeated what you said. ;D

Another useless and stupid topic. Dragoons contain wounded protoss (not only zealots, but that doesn't matter) but alot of other machines of both protoss (stalkers) and terran (siege tank, viking etc) contain crew. Really, think before you post.

(and sorry if I repeat what other people say, couldn't be arsed to read the whole topic.)

Please put on your flamesuit for your own safety.
Not reading topics is frowned upon, especially when it's only one single page long.

To post on-topic I can only say that it's logical that you won't be able to snipe half organic units, if for nothing else, balance reasons.

I thought stalkers only contained the soul of the warrior in control of it

"The stalker is a machine controlled by the shadow-essence of a dark templar warrior fused into a metal body to protect his people."

True if you read litteraly, but it can also just mean it only contains a part of the dark templar (willingly cripplin' their bodies to fit in the damned thing? Maybe the 'brains'?)

well it'd not be that bad if the immortals could be sniped. ghosts right now are pretty expensive, and the snipe would only wipe out hte shield.
