Immortal's Voice

You have all heard the Immortal's voice. So here's the question: Would you rather have it talk with a voice similar or identical with the Dragoon's voice? Or would you like to keep the current voice?

 

The current voice and dialogue is perfect. I really like it a lot.

''Woe to our enemies'' ''We shall serve forever''

And why have it as the Dragoon voice if its an Immortal?

Hehe, the new voices are just right. I kinda fed up with the Dragoons, cause when you micro them in SC1 you hear the voice a lot of times... I guess I will also say this about the voice of the immortal after a few months, years..

I LOVE the new voice. It's powerful and calm, like I'd expect an immortal to be.

 

Probable because Immortals ARE dragoons that have had bigger guns added to them.

I think I like the dragoons voice but I think the Dragoon was voiced by one of the old devs that left.

 

I wouldn't like to be that dev, The Dragoon's voice was annoying and sounded weak. This one's much more appropriate, but some of the quotes are a bit cheesy.

 

The current voice is the best one.

 

I love the Immortal's voice. It goes along with their name, their voice sounds like they have been living forever.

 

Zealots have a nice voice. If theirs was croaky and deep, the immortals' should be even more croaky and less understandable. They're speaking through a voice box, and so it should sound more robotic, something along the lines of a dragoon's voice.

Anyway, I prefer new one, I got bored with old one, but I partially agree with kuvash - it should be more "rusty" and "worn".

 

Exactly what I think Kuvasz. The new goon's voice should not change just because the position of the damaged body did. They would still speak with the same apparatus.

 

Well keep it along the lines of what it is now, but add some kinda effect like the Dragoon.
Although, they are not speaking through a voice box, its an aparatus which plays their telepathic thoughts as sounds. So come to think of it, it doesn't need to be croaky or anything. Plus don't forget they are highly advanced.

 

Well I think the current voice is linked to its egyptian appearance, with its deep and mystical voice that implies wisdom and such.

The kind of voice that would fit the immortal would be that of the SC1 carrier's. It's deep, not-so-human-sounding, and radiates power, brute force. That's exactly what the immortal is, a powerful tank that can dust off the marks of a full blown nuclear explosion (about 10 explosions, to be exact).

 

I voted for the current Immortal voice. It is really cool with good lines and dramatic voice acting deserving of the mighty protoss race.

 

I thought it was said that sound was the last thing to be done. So the immortals voice is most likely still just a filler for what will be coming. Unless I am mistaken of course.

 

I say it's fine as it is.

 

I like the new voice but I think they should just take it into any sound manipulation program and add some crackles and back ground noise. Humm I'll see if I can do it myself...

I don't know how many downloads this will allow. This is an mp3 that has an Immortal quote than my slight tweaks. It just gives the voice some atmosphere.
