I watched this video the other day by Kaelaris(http://www.youtube.com/user/KaelarisStarcraft) on an immortal-vr pvp variation and loved it!

    Here's the link:

I tried it twice on 2 matches I played against P since then and really liked the way it worked, even though I sucked both times at performing it well :p

    Here's both replays:
The first one was against a friend of mine whom I asked to play P vs me so that I could try it out... It was a 2300 diamond(he) vs ~700 silver(me) so it was pretty one-sided, lol, but on the first encounter my composition did quite well against his{even though I left the VRs to die due to stupidity}...
The second match is against some guy from ForceStrategyGaming forums from the practice partnair thread, and he's closer to my level of play :p

What are your thoughts on this?

I've been thinking about this kind of composition for a while now. Glad to see that someone found a build that works well for it.

I think the build would be slightly better if warp gate research is canceled, since that would allow the robo and stargate to come up faster. Also the second gateway seems unnecessary, it looks like if you constantly made units out of all three buildings you wouldn't have any extra resources.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking since I noticed that I couldn't produce from all 4 buildings at any given time. Also about the warpgate research, I was also thinking of postponing it till I get my expo up and be able to support more gates, since immortals which would be my main ground unit had to walk all the way to reinforce my army anyway, so having a zealot tag along wouldn't hurt(especially since researching warpgate and setting up a proxy pylon just to warp in a zealot once in a while would be a little bit of a waste)...

I think pheonixes will be more effective than void rays in PvP. With mix of Zealot, Stalker and Pheonix, they can kick your *** off. While pheonix is not armored unit, they only take 10 damage from Stalkers, and they can pick some up while killing Colossi too. This requires some decent micro though.

You do realise that phoenixes do 8 damage per hit on colossi and need to be within stalker range to do that, right? Phoenixes are not vikings, you can't use them to snipe colossi... If your enemy goes templar tech though you can snipe HTs with phoenixes easily, or kill zealots, or harass probes, and scout... They're a good unit, but they generally don't do a good job against colossi...
