Is there any reason to believe the new high end iMac with the 24" screen and the GT130 video card would not play SC2 well?

    http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/imac

Please note, I am not interested in a PC vs Mac thread. Or a why I should build my own PC thread. I just want to know if this computer would be play the game well.

    Thanks

Yeah it could... But for $2,199... I wouldn't advise it. Mac = RIP OFF!!! But if it's your thing, go for it :)

    PC > mac :D

    I knew I wouldn't escape without a little snark...

Their less powerful iMacs, with the nVidia 9400 integrated chips, would those be much worse for SC2?

Don't quote the guy above you please.

Yes, the Mac would run SC just fine. But unless you're going to be doing heavy duty graphic, music, or video work, I'd shy away from a Mac. They are undoubtedly overpriced.

Not trying to be antiMac or whatev, just saying.

As far as the lower end ones, I always recommend staying away from integrated. If it fries, you're screwed.

Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to quote.

To be honest, I'm not a huge Mac fan myself, but I have little interest in buying a Vista machine, and I don't want to mess around with WINE on a Linux machine for SC2. Maybe by the time I get around to buying a new computer, Windows 7 will be out, and I'll just go with that. I do like the idea of an all-in-one computer. Perhaps 'll go with Dell or HP or Sony.

As said, yes it could run. Actually I challenge you to show me a home system above 1500 $ that WON'T be able to run sc2 well.

(Actually nevermind that, someone will DEFINITELY find me a system like that -_- )
