Well, i have seen the Rapid increase of Dota games appearing in warcraft III.

    It is taking over.

Its a cancer, and warcraft III has been smoking.

Please support me to stop DotA noobs from recking SC2 and WC3.

Host other games and play BattleNet. Best way to avoid Dota.

storyline? single player campaign? I think it lacks "a bit" to be the best. It's just one (always the same!) map with few modes
And don't counter this saying it's just UMS, the last I checked (was a while ago though) they claimed DOTA was a separate game running on wc3

Look on the bright side. I mean, if the only other competetion is DoTA, other UMS maps won't have much competetion. People have to play something diffrent sooner or later, right?

Assuming, of course, you don't get attack by DoTA zombies. Scary!

I don't see how you can like it. Then i see the fact that everyone can "own" in it.

This means its luck/character selection :s

DotA was alright when it first came out but it got overwhielming. The game was alright but it was never all that great and looking for a non DotA map is a real pain.

I know DotA will be on SC2, it take that as a given, I just hope it isn't half as popular.

    DotA is evil

DotA is fun. It takes teamwork and skill (Mostly teamwork). It is however VERY unbalanced. Everybody who plays DotA thinks it is super balanced because they are all brainwashed. DotA is not bad. It's the players who are (And the creator). Everybody takes it too seriously. The amount of S@#$ talk in DotA is horrid.

Lol, just character/teammates.... but i think that the customization in SC2 will be able to give gamers a push off of DotA to make/play better custom games

I love DOTA. It's sad, but a lot of my friends brought WC3 just because they can play DOTA. But I do admit people can get too emotional in DOTA.

You would always hear at least one of these quotes per game

"OMFG his a noob, host kick him"
    "BANNED"
    "STFU U NOOB. STOP FEEDING"
"NOOB LEAVE NOW, and give me your items"
"DUDE you FAG, STOP CREEPING AND HELP US PUSH"

and many more that I believe I have missed.

I actually believe DOTA is one of the most emotional game I have ever played. Everyone takes this game so seriously and bad manner flies everywhere. It really isn't a game for a new player. I suggest, if you are starting off with DOTA, DO NOT JOIN A PUB GAME. Play with people you know and get the hang of it before joining pub games.

I don't understand the hype about dota, I've played it a few times before and its always the person who picks the good hero solos the entire team. Too boring and unbalanced, all hero war type games are. Only one I like is custom hero line wars of the hero type games because the only things you kill are creeps, but it still takes skill. Unbalanced heroes also arent instant win in that game.
