If you consider yourself a traitor, you're already too far gone =/ Windows=Workhorse, not nice looking, but powerful and gets the job done. Great for gaming, office working, networks, and ease of use. Mac=Great looking, extremely powerful when dealing with graphics and visuals (PhotoShop, Maya, Movie making programs). Not so wonderful on the gaming side (Getting better) and really crappy for word processing, spreadsheets, and the like. It's not really a matter of what you like, it's a matter of what you want to do with it. That said, there's a Mac out with a 6 tera HD and expandable up to 16 gigs of RAM. EDIT: Additional note. A lot of Macheads might get PO'ed at me, but Macs are generally NOT worth the money when looking at specs. If you're going to heavily use a Mac's strengths (See above) then it's a good deal. But stacked up against, say, an XPS with the same specs, it's not really. Especially when you factor in compatability.
Fenix makes a good point. It all depends on what you want to use it for. If money is an object I would suggest getting a windows computer, but if you want it badly enough just go for it, get one. At least you'll know all the upcoming/previous blizzard games will run on it because their games are made for both mac and pc.
16 gigs of RAM!?!?!?!??!!!!! are yu fo shiz!??!?! that is....ermm...insane... how about the new macbook pro? the full skinny one.
first, wickie, why do you want to get one? as said there's a reason. so is yours broken or is your comp not pulling its weight?
If you didnt know, MAC software OS can be installed on PC's. MACS can now have Windows installed, so why are you a traitor? Thinkoutside the box. You can have a sick gaming rig with MAC, BootCamp Windows, and alt+tab between OS's.
I already have killer gaming rig. =P I'm thinking of getting a macbook for casual use and some video/photo editing stuff. Something to use on the go, stuff like that.
Mac is exactly what you want, then. If you've got your gaming rig, and want a Mac to do the video/photo editing...then, you can't get much more perfect than that!
dude, totally get a mac; i'm using one right now and it is FABULOSO! i'm using a macbook, does everything you need it to pretty well
Have fun not being able to right click Ya, if you just wanna use it for, you know, music/photos. Go get it, Gaming isn't the best, but, like you said, you already have a gaming rig. I use a mac book for video editing and modelling. It works really well for what i do.
