Im confused, because a lot of people in other topics are saying one of two things. The Thor is still in or it is Out! I cant tell which it is, so can someone please tell me if it is in or out? Also, if it is out, what is replacing it??

    The thor is in.

The topics you are talking about are discussing a proposal to take the thor out and replace it with something discussed in the post.

There isn't anything that may replace it. It's just a bunch of members discussing the their own opinions about whether it should be in, whether it should be changed and whether it should be replaced, and with what.

They aren't saying it's out, they are wishing it is. It's still in as everyone has said.

People are just wanting it out because in its current build it doesn't look particularly useful. A lot of the Terran units seem based on mobility and adaptability, and their big unit is huge, bulky and slow. It just doesn't seem to mesh with the rest of the army at all. Especially if it can't be carried by transport vessels...

That sounds quite true, the terran have always been about mobility and adaptability, so the Thor should maybe be not so big and slow, but maybe smaller and still as powerful?

Thor is named Thor for a reason.

And have you read the unit lore on the SC2 site?

    Yeah.

    It stays big.

Guys the Thor got a boost in speed and also is smaller then the older version.

Also as of how its transported no idea how it can be moved.

@MW. Sorry, but I don't think the unit lore (on that level, as in describing something's size...) on the SC2 site is worth much: If a unit changes the lore will follow suit. As Bth45 said, it has been downsized. Hence the lore might already have changed in the Blizzard HQ, describing it as smaller compared to before.

Likewise, the Mothership lore might slightly differ depending on whether it will be unique or not in the final build.

My point is that lore on the SC2 site is definitely not final.

They already have the viking it can change from land to air and if you mean it gets more attack and defence that would be more like the siege tank exept for the defence unless im mistaken.

With how much time and effort Blizzard is making to balance out Thor, it'll be a cold day in hell before they get rid of it.

Lol, imagine a Thor but with wings xD. Would be awsum, but I cant see it happening! Isn't it like a tank, can take loads of damage, while some other units i.e. siege tanks in sige mode or vikings(land) could tear through the other units? And if you can get a Thor or two blocking a choke point with siege moded tanks behind it, then the terran would be impossible to beat!:D

Tanks can't actually take that much damage with a little fire the 150 hp can go down really fast and Tanks can't attack right next to themselves which hinders them.

and all you need is some Guardians or Immortals or some other stuff that could take down a choke point protected with thors which protect the Seige Tanks you would need a detector becuse of the Infestor maybe some vikeing and air units to deal with motherships or carriers.

Hmmm good idea but I meant the sort of tank like in WoW, that can take loads of damage like a paladin, warrior etc. Would the Thor's guns activate the Immortal's hardened shield? I would think so...

Sounds logical to me, the Thor is a heavy weapon and Immortal's hardened shields activate against heavy weapons. Currently though isn't the Thor just an awesome anti-air with the ability to heal itself?
