    Hey guys,

So I've been flirting with this idea of some kind of crippling combo. My thought has been revolving around this idea of using Infestors and Speedlings with a Nydus Network, and then the Overseers to slow down production of units with contanimate. I'd try to ninja the Nydus Network and then use the infestors to plant the fungal growth and infested marines and the Speedlings to continue the assault of my opponents base (particularly their mineral line). Is this just a plain stupid idea?

I guess the first question would be how do I intend on getting to the point where I can pull this off inside an opponents base...

ok, so I'm pretty good about doing the boom/econ expand with eventual roaches/hydras and the spinecrawlers on d while i try to dump creep on expansion spots with overlords, but I'm ready to mix it up into something more surprising than the usual kind of things I've been doing. Especially if I am asserting the econ advantage early, I'd like to expand that advantage even more with a sneak attack.

I tend to keep my units in a "counter attack" mode off the fast expand to absorb and bounce back at the opponent while protecting my advantage, but I was thinking if I could sneak into their base while I maintain my econ it could be a pretty useful strategy, especially considering the opponent may be considering my strength is in my defense. I want to use the changeling ability of the Overseer to go recon and site out a good spot to land the big worm.

I guess that's the big reason I'm so willing to go with the Speedlings with this combo, because they require so little gas and minerals. I know they are prone to melt fast, but that's what the surprise attack is for and the fungal growth of the Infestors....I want to use this attack to use less minerals and gas, assert more advantage on econ, then tech up or something...

here's my question I don't have an answer to though:

1)What units are susceptible to countering this strategy?

I need to know this so I don't just go stupid trying to launch this attack when the opponent already has the kind of counter up I'm blind to and they're waiting to pull a "allurbaserbelongtous" on me. I need to know when to abort plan a for plan b....which I don't have for this by the way lol.

Annnnyway, I REALLY appreciate any ideas/feedback/criticism.

Not really a new strat, i've seen people use it, I've also countered it with banelings.
Keep in mind though, its a good build if you can pull it off and not get spotted early on. My friend did it to a few protoss players a few weeks ago.

Ah yes, get spotted and the plan fails...I don't really like those kind of plans. High Risk/High Reward I suppose.....
