Hey everyone. I have never played the first Starcraft game, but my deep love for the RTS game Warcraft 3 drove me to try Starcraft 2 out. And I'm loving it so far. I'm torn between Zerg and Protoss, haha. I've been a Warcraft 3 fan(atic) since when it first came out. Azeroth was a lush place to explore. Battle At Mount Hyjal was, to put in one word, epic. I then started playing World of Warcraft during the Sunwell patches of the game, which is during the BC era. It was a great game and I got a Draenei hunter to 70 and only got raid experience with him to as far as Zul'Aman. That's when WotLK came out. Quit a few weeks later after getting my hunter to 80 due to studies, got back into it last December, then quit again last two months. Couldn't handle the -elitist attitude- on some players during the end-game. During that time I was raiding with a Blood Elf priest in Icecrown Citadel. I've also been an avid Super Smash Bros. competitive player. Playing with Mewtwo (even though he's bottom-of-the-pit tier) in Melee and playing with King Dedede (fuuuuuun character to play with) were fun times. I'm a graphic designer too, haha. Wanting to play competitvely with Starcraft 2, so I'll just be lurking around the boards to get some information. I suck in the game at the moment. >=\ So far I can't find any beginner's guide to the game. What the heck is micro/macromanagement? Argh! >=\
Ugh, the elitist attitude of some guys is annoying. Seriously, we need 5200 gearscore to join the weekly into naxx? There is a reason that I just started playing in a leveling guild now. Anyways welcome. micro means that you control a unit individually in battle, while macro means you control broad strokes.
Exactly. In the end I thought playing WoW wasn't worth my time anymore, because I'm seeing ToC and ICC bosses only each and every week and its getting stale. Nevertheless I'll be checking out Cataclysm, start up a new character and start fresh. Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for clearing that up. XD Micromanagement already sounds like a hard thing to do, heh. D:
