a movie movie? I suggest they merely make a movie, but even then it is hard, because there isn't really any single point in time which I'd consider usable to make a movie of. Now a television series on the other hand
A TV series would work better, the universe is just too damn vast for a movie to focus on anything without missing something important. haha i can see it now Coming this fall, the epic scifi event of the year. It's a bit like ijffdrie said. It's just way to much for a single movie. A mini series with about 3 episodes per campaign would seem ideal. If you'd made an episode of every mission, things would probably drag on for to long. I mean, the majority of Starcraft is spent fighting stuff, you can't have the majority of the series have you show epic battles. That would most likely get boring quite fast.
Oh man a mini series would be incredible. Follow up to The Pacific and Band of Brothers (the HBO Miniseries)
Yeah a mini-series would probably be best, three or four episodes for each race, each focusing on a different period in the SC universe. Terrans would be first in line with the first episode dealing with the Tarsonis period, then deal with toss during broodwar, and then the zerg in the just beggings of SC2. I think it would do pretty well, i know i'd buy it.
I haven't seen a single movie based solely on a computer game that could be compared to the mainstream. Wait until the Warcraf movie is out and then decide the fate of Starcraft movie based off of the sucess or failure of World of Warcraft.
I think blizzard's Inquisition would like to have a word with Ijff, we would like to know more about these unfaithful ones.
