when playing RPGs, youre supposed to devote a huge amount of time to finish it well, i did, ive played countless RPGs from my playstation days, and just when im about to finish it... i would stop and never play it again... heres a quick history -FF6: im at kefkas tower, equipped with those awesome accessories like the X-bracelet (or something like that) i equipped it on sabin and equipped 2 claws, viola, wolverine time!... anyways, im at kefkas tower, the final area of the FF6 world... but just as i was about to near the end... i stopped and moved to a new game -Azure dreams: basically the objective of the game is to reach the 40th floor of the tower, you cant save or anything like that when inside the tower and your level resets whenever you go out (you can advance with the help of 2 pets) well... i was on floor 38 and found the portal to floor 39, but then i stopped and moved to another game -tales of destiny: same thing, final boss, i stopped -digimon world 2 and world 3: just before the final boss, i would stop -chocobos dungeon 2: sorry but i just cant do it, i dont want to finish -and other games i forgot but i did finish some -the game on my siggy (finished it 86 times on the ps1 and here in my ps1emulator) -breath of fire 3 and 4, i almost stopped playing @ the end, but i decided to end it anyways -legend of legaia: final boss was annoying so my point here my point of not finishing what you have started and devoted your life to is that why would you end something youve spent almost 150+ hours on? it the ending really worth it? because for me, finishing it is like saying "haha, youve devoted your life to this, now its done, now youll just realize that youve wasted your life" now im playing MMOs and MMORPGs im nearing the character level, but im getting the urge to stop
"why would you end something youve spent almost 150+ hours on? it the ending really worth it? because for me, finishing it is like saying "haha, youve devoted your life to this, now its done, now youll just realize that youve wasted your life" " So in order not the end the game you stop playing? As in you end playing the game, so to speak? IMO that's much worse than actually ending the game - at least you get to see the effect of your effort. You already realise you "waste" your time, so what's the problem? Really, I can get people losing interest, getting bored of the game (happens to me often enough >.>), or giving up after not being able to beat final boss. But this? You waste your time, you KNOW you waste your time and you deny yourself the only reward you could possibly get for it? Yep, you do have a problem Note: I could argue about using the term "waste of life/time" but let's just skip that.
yea, its just weird in my case forgive me for being screwy, lol hmm, that could work.... (off to go GF shopping!)
i waste my life on games, but not quite that much however i waste my life on the computer, not gaming, which is just as bad xD
This game was annoying hard from almost the beginning to the end. 3 Boss that are identical to you. and the other crazy guy with the red arm that transform in a huge monster (near end) he was freaking hard.
maybe its because i dont want the game to end after spending too much time on it and.... i do mean literally "not end"

Well remember that the game also ends if you stop playing it. Obviously. Also, you don't get any bragging rights.
and that you don't get to see how the story ends. play Half-Life and Half-Life 2, you'll feel like never ending the story even when ending the game.
Well,i will say this about ur problem: Its stupid not to end the game cause why are u playing it at all,all things have end thats the way it is. Finish the game,go to another one and finish that one too and after a while if u would like to play the game u have ended(cause u have forgotten it or something,i cant forget games i remember always how to play it) just do it or get tons of games with different genres. And about MMORPGs(i play WoW for 3 years now,not all the time and not on retail) they have 3 simple means: 1.Leveling-getting ur character trough the quests, zones and levels 2.PvE-at max lvl u have end game instances/dungeons where u work with others for higher purposes(items, boss kills...) 3.PvP-though PvP is there trough lvling it gets totally different on max lvl 2. and 3. are my favorite but 1. can get interesting once again after u do too much of 2. and 3.
For some reason this thread gave me the urge to play legend of mana for the ps1. Now where to find an emulator, hmmmm. lol.
