So, I'm playing King's Bounty: Armored Princess and I hate it. It's absolutely horrible! How the hell am I supposed to get some decent sleep if I can't stop playing?! Anyone played this or KB: Legend? Thoughts?
Ever played Heroes of Might and Magic? It's the singleplayer version of that. And not. In fact, there was once this one game called King's Bounty, which was a prequel to the HoMM series. There were no actual opponents there, you just had to find an artifact burried somewhere. To get clues you had to find items and beat bad guys hiding in castles. The new games (Legend and Armored Princess) are something between the old KB and HoMM in gameplay with added features like chest of rage/pet dragon (which you can call to use some powerfull skills). Unlike HoMM it also has boss battles and you don't get your toops from your castle, but find them in many locations across the world. One of the awesome things is that about everything is randomized to some extent, especially the creatures you fight and find in "shops". Of course you are more likely to find orcs in their land or dwarves in the mines, but you may just as well find a dragon relatively early on. Of course you won't be able to take it, because you won't have enough leadership
Sweet videos. Thanks for posting them. I really like the style of that game. Plenty of colour, but it still has a bit of a sinister look. I like it. Probably going to get me a copy of this sometime. So how long have you been playing already?
No idea, but about two hours too long into the night every day since I got Armored Princess Ironically, there's a Turn back time spell in the game, wish I could use it to get mine back The colors are a bit like HoMM 5, but imo this looks much better overall.
"You seek knowledge of time travel?" *zwizwizwizwizwizwizwi* "You seek knowledge of time travel?" I want it even more now.
Keep in mind that Legend is first and Armored Princess is the sequel. As far as story goes there's little connection, but still you'd lose a lot of references by messing up the order Not that I care for story, I just click all the options when talking to NPCs and most quests do themselves along the way (which isn't neccessarily a good thing, but works for me) Maybe I'll try reading them on second playthrough if I do one. PS: I do not guarantee you, or anyone else for that matter, will like the game(s).
I always watch video reviews lately before buying stuff, but this community tends to give good advice as well. Now all I need is for SC2 to go into beta, so I can finally get a new computer. :/
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude I've always been a hardcore fan of the HoMM series. And now you give me a game which is very similar in concept and just as addictive? Good, I was getting bored already.
