Well. I must say that I was a bit dissapointed. But I had a feeling that'd happend because of how hyped I was. However, I wonder who we will play as in Heart of the Swarm, my guess is that eighter Duran (wich I haven't heard of yet in since brood war, he did survive, didn't he?) or that Kerrigan still has her controll over the swarm, as you can see that her hair is still zerg-ish you'd think she's not 100%human.
Now why would you consider Duran a possible candidate for this? We don't even know what he is, but could be the alpha and omega of ... well, everything, for all we know. And Kerrigan? I have the feeling HotS will be a wee bit more meaningful than controlling a bunch of pet Zerg to help Raynor. My guess is that there's a semi-intelligent being among the leftover Zerg which assumes control. Either an overlord or an infant cerebrate created by Kerrigan for some reason.
well, he did controll some zergs on BW, so why not the entire swarm, now that kerrigan is out of his way. or maybe he is the hybrid?
Heart of the Swarm To begin with , i am glad to make my first post in this forum (spoiler ahead)** Now that Kerrigan turned into human form who will command the zerg in the HotS ?? Will it be Duran ? A new Overmind ? Will kerrigan retain her control over the zerg ? Or maybe the xel-naga with the dark voice ? Maybe blizzard releases what kerrigan did in those 4 years before wings of liberty so she will command the swarm ? Just wondering and assuming
Perhaps the entire game will still take place on the Hyperion and will be just like the the first game. However... The zerg are going to be running rampant so it's up to Raynor and Kerrigan to both stop the renegade zerg and mostly up to Kerrigan to get the ones that she can still control under wraps. The Hyperion will be the place for upgrades and such for both Terran and Zerg (Laboratory for zerg, armory for terran) and the game will jump back and forth between fighting with zerg and terran as well as back and forth between Duran/Hybrids trying to take over as much of the swarm as they can. I have a feeling Kerrigan is going to die at some point in the game, probably at the end to leave a cliff hanger ending for the 3rd and possibly final game.
^ Not likely, all the zerg players would rage if they had to play as terran for much of their campaign.
Yeah..I thought about it. With the way the story is progressing though it sort of seems as if it's all going to end up being a TZP vs Hybrids sort of battle in the very end. So to me that would sort of point out that as the expansions come out there's going to be team ups, ya get what I mean? Perhaps each mission will have an option of what race you want to play for most missions, and some missions will be purly zerg, terran, or protoss. Who know. @_@
If you see the new art images, one of them is showing Kerrigan (uninfested) in front of an something like an Ultralisk, but more greeny and planty, another one - a colorfull jungle full with zergish creatures and buildings. One can assume that this will be the "good" zerg, controlled by Kerrigan in her human form. After all women love flowers, plants are living creatures (and strong too, they survived how many years on Earth?), the Zerg easily can assimilate some of them. As I can see this, there will be two fractions of Zerg in the next expansion.
