It's an RTS, just like the hundreds of others out there...of course it's going to have SOME semblance to a game of it's genre.

That would be like saying Half Life 2 has resemblance to Fallout 3.

 

You're looking at it wrong. What they're complaining about is the fact that it has color.

The only problem I see is the proportions and shapes of the units and buildings at different angles.

 

Sc2 looks nothing like WC3.......

It's Starcraft 2.

It demands colour, not in Warcraft 3 abundancies.

In all seriousness, I think the comparison shot shows how nice SC2 looks. It manages to have a nice color palette while not being cartooney-bright like Warcraft 3.

 

Maybe they can take some rainbows from the Diablo 3 whiners

 

of course SC2 has the same game engine as WC3, its kinda obvious, unit wise, no similarities.

You think Blizzard would try to re-invent their wheel? Hell no.
They use the same engine and just beef it up 100 times to make it look faster and better. I dont much like it, but i have to give due credit cuase it will be an awsome game.

SC and SC:BW are classics, you cant beat the classics. SC is one of the best well known all time SELLERS of it's genre, and to upgrade it to the newest system can destroy its legecy or make it better, which ever you decide.
