I bought a game :O

Prototype. Mostly cause it looks BADASS. Don't really care how well it plays or anything, it just looks awesome as hell.

 

One game I am trying to get a hold of (again), just because its not an MMO and still shows how to be a good PC RPG. Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn
- Think it came out in like 2000 or so. . .

 

I saw the PS2 version at Gamestop a month or so back for 10 bucks used.

 

ahh baldur's gate... It was pretty good. It's very much like ice wind dale, one of my favorite single player rpgs. So what's prototype about? How is it so far Fenix?

 

Oh my god.

I just spent 30 minutes running around Manhatten and blowing **** up. If anyone's played Spiderman 2 for PS2, it's kinda like that. Except way more violent. And bloody. You rip someone in half in the opening movie. I am going to be playing this game for a looooooong time.

 

hmm i didn't really enjoy spiderman 2. It was generally a linear gameplay experience. It should be similar to GTA right? Oh and i'm going to buy sims 3 tomorrow.

I am looking at that version of Spore: Galactic Adventures...

 

Yeah? I'm a total sucker for sandbox games. GTA, Fallout, the Mercenaries games. Go anywhere, kill anyone, that sort of thing.

My only gripe is some of the graphics look iffy, especially helicopters. Almost Xbox (Original, not 360) quality textures on it, which is weird.

 

Sandbox is nice indeed. Just dl'd Anchorage, Pitt and Broken Steel at the same time though, so I am already sandboxing like crazy.

 

Try multiboxing your sandboxes.

I may be getting Fallout 3 next week or so

 

I will probably end of buying it next weekend since I don't have my wallet nor my xbox 360.

 

Can you drive anything in prototype?

 

Don't need to. You run faster than a New York taxi driver when sprinting, or you can go the awesome route and RUN UP BUILDINGS AND GLIDE OFF THEM.

Anyways.

Cars are more useful for throwing at Helicopters than driving.

 

LoL, that a great use of modern cars.

 

Well you can drive tanks and Apaches but can the cars/trucks be commandeered?

 

No.

But really.

They're just there for ammo.

Earlier, I destroyed a military base by throwing cars at it.

Then an elite ops team attacked me. I ate them.

Fun fact: I've killed over 500 pedestrians. I've played the game for about 4 hours.

That's not counting Infected, Marines, or Blackwatch.

So far I've seen 3:

M2/M3 Bradley
M1 Abrams MBT
AH-64 Apache.

Um.

THere's a tank, a helicopter, and an APC. Might be multiples. I've only done like 4 missions, only on the fifth day out of 18.

 

Game dosen't seem that long from what you're descibing....
