Post a DXDiag (with your headset connected when you do). We'll start by looking at drivers. What other games have you played without issue? If your using a Desktop or Laptop, please post its make and model.

My comptuer is a white box, made it myself. It is a Desktop AMD Phenom 2 X4 3.0GHz, 4 gigs of ram, running Win7 x64, with an ATI Radeon 5700 video card. All Drivers are up to date (installed then from the web sites). I have used this headset with Spyke and Ventilo, and with Battlefront, Global Agenda, and a few other games that I don't remeber anymore.

For future reference, please zip the dxdiag as one file if you have to post any more.

Can you tell me the model of your MSI motherboard? I can't figure out from the information, and MSI's website has gone to crap lately. "MS-7599" isn't going to net me the motherboard.

Your chipset drivers isn't installed, but another user had the same problem and the same drivers needed to be installed, so I already found them. If this motherboard is supposed to have an SB800 southbridge.. well, its possible that you got shafted just like that user.

This is a link to the chipset drivers you need. Install this first, see if that effects StarCraft II. In StarCraft II, check your sound options and make sure that your bluetooth headset is set as the primary sound device too.

After I know the exact motherboard you have, I'll look into the issue further.

Sorry about that, my motherboard is MSI 870A-G54. (keep boxes so I know what I really have without opening my case). I installed what you told me to and also went to MSI website and reinstalled all drivers for my motherboard and ATI for my Video card as well. (might as well). I still get the distorted sound when I open up SC2.

I guess I'm lost right now. I can't figure out how your connecting this bluetooth headset to the computer. What is the make and model of the bluetooth headset? I'm going to wager that its USB, but we need to track down the drivers for it, and the dxdiag isn't netting me any valuable information on it.

If the bluetooth receiver didn't come with the headset, what is the make and model of that too.

I have an Insignia Bluetooth headset with USB adaptor. Model number NS-BTHDST. I installed the drivers and software for it strait from the website.

Well, you say you installed the software, but the DXdaig is showing that the "Bluetooth Remote Control HID Device" and "Speakers (Bluetooth Hands-free Audio)" as not having anything but generic drivers installed.. infact, the Bluetooth Speakers driver is shown as having a WHQL "no" which means that the drivers are unsigned.

The drivers for the device appear to be from Broadcom and can be found here. If your not sure this is the link you were directed to before, try it again.

Also, in StarCraft 2, did you set the primary sound output to the headset, or does it even show up as a choice at all?

It did download Broadcom software and the link you gave is the same as the one Insignia website gave me. I also set in SC2 the primary sound output to the headset and restarted it, no difference at all.

Well, it might be time to contact either Insignia customer support, or Blizzard.

As a last ditch effort, I would disable your sound card in the BIOS and see if that helps.

I am also having distorted bluetooth headset audio when running SC2.

The distortion only occurs when SC2 is running. If I switch back to my desktop the distortion is present. If I turn off my headset, the speakers start playing sound normally. When I turn the headset back on, the speakers turn off and the distortion returns to the headset. When I exit out of SC2, the headset play crystal clear audio.

I have a Sony headset and a Broadcom Bluetooth adapter.

    I've attached the dxdiag report.

Games such as TorchLight show no distortion when using the headset.

I have tried turning off reverb and selecting the headset instead of default in the the SC2 options menu.

Hmm. The dxdiag doesn't have much info about my headphone from what I can see, Here's what the device manager properties page says:
