    Hi,

I have been playing Starcraft 2 for few weeks and just upgraded the video card last night. But can someone tell me how do i tell Starcraft 2 to re-evaluate my video card and adjust the setting according to the new video card? I clicked video button from option after I upgraded the video card and it popped up a message something like "Your vidoe card has been changed please adjust setting".

    Thanks.
    Mugen

If the game is actually working, you need to enter the video settings and adjust them yourself. If StarCraft 2 isn't loading, post a dxdiag here.

To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.

It is working. If need to change the video settings manually to match up with the new upgrade video card:( How do I know how much more i can increase in each setting? Like now is 1024 x 768 and 3D is medium, lighting is low etc?
What if I do not change any setting. Is the visual experience improve after video card being upgraded when in game play. (May be SC2 adjusted by itself?)

Well, if you post the dxdiag, we'll have a better idea of what your configuration can handle with the settings.

For future reference, if you delete My Documents/Starcraft II/Variables.txt, it causes the game to reevaluate your graphics card.

Thanks and just tried that but it said something like "Does not recognize the video card, need to change the setting manually"
