Please answer those 2 questions. Thanks guys!
http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26 That'll be one of your favorite section. Welcome to the forums.
Ugh don't really get that post, Sorry i need details in step by step, that just talks about like messed up servers, or made servers Sorry ,but thanks for help i appreciate you and the Starcraft staff and all helpers!
Watch out for double-posting, edit button is your friend. And as far as I know, no Starcraft staff are here, unless Protosschick got the job. But that section of the forum should help you out. A lot.
You just open StarEdit (the planet when you open starcraft), place the terrain and units how you want and make triggers... Ask for help in the forum willy posted, most of the people who would be able to give you step-by-step instructions hang out there, but you really need a basic plan and atleast put some units down to get a basic idea of what you want. Also, your name is ironic...
Ok i got it but when i put down the units and buildings and i save,i get that part ,but i dont get how you unally each other in the beggining so you just win in the start, and how you get the marine to have like 100 damage or something, and how you get it in start and to name the unit and etc..
WOW... I can't even remember how StarEdit goes. StarEdit is good for messing around and for beginners, but SCMDraft 2.0, StarForges or SC Extra-Edit is the way to go. Advanced map editors include features such as: -play units anywhere -stack -change player color -change text color -255 upgrades -+10000hp and shield -advanced triggers not available in StarEdit -cut/copy and paste -square terrain -doodad into terrain conversion -and more As you learn, you will probably understand. Anyways, tutorials mostly relate to the kind of map you're making. Maps usually fall into there categories: UMS -RPG -Mass Attack -Tactical (impossible scenarios) -Bound (running past timed things) -Defence (turret def) -Melee Style Melee -casual -professional Experimental Its actually quite hard to give tutorials without knowing what kind of map this is. For example, learning to open and close installation doors won't help much in a RPG on Jungle terrain.
I FINNALY MADE MY GAME,but idont know how to change the name of my group like Right now my group is called Force 1 -.- i dont know how to change it into any name i want and to make another tab
scenario > forces, there are four forces to choose from and you can name them whatever you want in the white bar that says "force 1" etc. You should probably stick with staredit until you get a bit more experience.
