hey guys, i'm playing Terran, and having terran's drop behind my mineral line. How to defend? do i build early turrets? or put a tank back there? or have 12 marines hanging back there? (which seems like a lot) tks BJ
sensor tower detours the opponent from doing drops. Even if they decide to you will have enough time to react if you place the sensor correctly to move your army into position to intercept the drop.
Scouting, map control and mini map awareness. Also depends on the mobility of your force, ( mech may have a harder time defending drops far away) But a few turrets near the outlines of your base helps against drops, forces them to drop early or retreat. Doom drops are really difficult to deal with, especially if you are against zerg. So really scout and map control!
A lone tank will do nothing against a drop as your opponent will simple drop his units right on top of the tank inside its range. This is good to remember both for defense and if you have siege set up near your opponent.
Scouting? Hey thanks guys By scouting (to defend against drops), do you mean scanning his base to see medevacs? Or controlling xel-naga towers? Or sensor towers? not sure I'm fulling getting the scouting idea tks D
