    I have a monitor that doesn't support alot of different resolutions.. And whatever one SC2 beta starts with makes t so I can't play the game.. How can I change resolution outside of the game?

    Wait, so your saying when you start up the game, your resolution is off so much that you can't play?

    I'm sorry I should have made myself more clear. I'm using my HDTV as a monitor, so theres only certain resolutions that's supported.(Otherwise, I just get "Mode Not Supported" from my TV) Is there anyway to edit what resolution it launches at? I looked for a config file and couldn't find one..

    (And I can't get blizzdownloader to work again... thats how I changed it for WoW)

    monitors in general can support any resolution up to their maximum... is it your video card that can't handle it? the game does have an "options" menu...

    The problem is.. my video cards max res is higher than what my tv can do and the max my tv can do is 1600x1200 it's starting with my video card max..

    I cannot access the options.. As soon as the game starts I lose control since my HDTV cannot access it. I'm guessing HDTV's are ALOT different than regular monitors.. I'd hate to have to bring my old clunky monitor upstairs since I dont have use of my right leg right now >.>

    The only thing I can think of is getting a monitor and going into the game to change it there. It's just it will require blu-ray.

    What do you mean it will require blu-ray?

    Thinking of something else, I am sorry, I don't know how I can help. I'm trying to find things on it... I don't know. Good luck I guess.

    1600x1200 seems like an unusual resolution for an HDTV. Have you tried using a standard resolution such as 1280x720 (720p) or 1920x1080 (1080p)?

    Also, what connection are you using? VGA, DVI, HDMI, something else?

    I've tried everything.. :(

    I have it hooked up by a VGA but it uses a DVI to VGA adapter... I'm thinking a DVI to HDMI will work.

    HDMI might be your best bet. Your card doesn't have native HDMI output? Also, what HDTV model do you have?

    OK, you already have installed SC2 and ar least tried to run it. Go to your "My Documents"-Folder, there should be a folder named "Starcraft II Beta". Its been generated automatically, your replays, maps and, interesting for you, SETTINGS are saved there. There is a document named "Variables.txt". Thats where the magic happens. Look through that document and find the two variables "Height=" and "Width=" (for me, Height is in the first quarter and width at the bottom end). If your TV really runs at 1600x1200 change the settings to:

    Height=1200
    Width=1600

    should work....
