how important is azeroth?

in 39.000 years, azeroth was the only planet that resisted the demon invasion, killing all but one of the leaders of th Burning Legion(well, technically sargeras is just locked in a crypt), but what appears weird to me, is that a single world could do what thousands couldnt. And why are the demons so intent on capturing Azeroth that they send all their leaders to the frontlines.

WHAT IS AZEROTH, AND WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO THE DEMONS?

Because the Burning Legion is ****ing pissed off they can't get this rock specifically.

 

what about the old gods? Sargeras is a titan so he should know that the old gods are more powerfull than him, why is he still so intent on getting one additional planet?

 

They want to get it so bad because they can't.
Why Azeroth? The story has to take place somewhere

 

It's like....If a baby has a ball in the playpen, but isn't playing with it, and you take it away.....The baby wants the ball, and will cry, simply because it DOESN'T have it

 

I thought Azeroth was just a continent not a planet itself

 

Azeroth also refers to the... southern part of the Eastern Kingdoms.

Am I right? Top down Eastern Kingdoms: Quel'thalas, Lordaeron, Khaz Modan, Azeroth?

 

Enemies have their STRONGHOLDS and Azeroth is the stronghold of humans. When an enemy or a race is bent upon taken over EVERYTHING then it wont SPARE anything.

Simply said: they came for the World Tree.
During the first invasion, it was cosidered to be just a regular planet. When Archimonde discovered that the World Tree could give him powers equal or greator then Sargeras, he wanted to have that power at all costs. Azeroth is only important because of that, they do not care about the Night Elves. -Note that they only got attacked because the Legion was following the Orcs to Kalimdor. So their main goal was never to attack any specific race, such as the Night Elves who stopped them the firs time.-

 

the world tree didnt exist until after first invasion when illidan tried to create a new well, but the druids planted a tree upon it. so they didnt care about the tree, the simply just first wanted to eradicate any life upon azeroth.

 

Oh oh oh hey I remember.

Because it's where the Aspects live. Imagine a demon-corrupted version of Nozdormu (the dragon who controls freaking time itself). Or Malygos, keeper of magic and the arcanum.

There are some seriously powerful entities 'living' on Azeroth.

Also, the Draenei. Now, yeah, their a playable race, but they have the potential to become Eradar, which are BAMF's. Remember that guy Archimonde? The one who destroyed the most powerful city in Azeroth? By making a sand castle?

Now imagine a whole race of those BAMF's.

 

actually none of the Draenai would get archimonde level strenght, besides Velen.
and you are right, there are some ridiculously powerfull entities on azeroth, like the 5 aspects, there are the elemental generals and old gods locked beneath the surface.
Though the boss of those shiny lights in outland is supposedly very powerfull as well

They aren't that big of a deal actually. There were plenty of them at least during first invasion and a good enough sorcerer (empowered by the Well though) could take them down.

+ the one powerfull mage you are talking about was empowered with enough strength to actually pose a challenge to Sargeras

About the Dranei: they used to be Eredar. Archimonde got his ridiculous strength directly from Sargeras.

And the Aspects and such were of little use to the Legion. Just another set of beings to destroy. The World Tree had something Archimonde could use. Also: did Sargeras tell Archimonde and KJ -never spell the name correctly- about the Old Gods, Aspects, etc.?

 

i think Sargeras broke with the titans before the creation of Azeroth, otherwise the old gods wouldnt have stood a chance against his mighty blade(the old gods actually outpowered the titans in almost every case 1 on 1, except probably Sargeras with a complete blade)

so Sargeras might not have known himself, untill he was imprisoned in the tomb of sargeras(There is a hinted Prime Evil nearby that place) and about the aspects untill the first invasion

i wonder if deathwing would ally herself with the BL though

 

Draenei have been around forever. Eredar are ones that Sargeras tainted.

 

we should also remember that Archimonde is a bugg compared the Sargeras

 

i wish we had more match-up information so we'd be able to compare stuff (WoW isnt realiable with this) i'd love to know how the aspects compare to Sargeras

What if Deathwing replaces Archimonde in the BL hierarchy?
