Hi all, Sorry about my ignorance, but I was hoping someone could help me. I am running Win7x64 w/ an adequate hardware and 4 GB ram. I have had no tech issues with this PC. Picked up my copy at the game store today. The install of SC2 went fine and generated no error messages. I also followed the prompt to register my copy with my CD key online, and SC2 was successfully added to my battle.net account, with an icon that leads to a page where one can download the "Game Client". However, when I launch SC2, after the movie/cut scene, I get to the homepage of the ringed planet, along with a box that says: LOGIN BATTLE.NET ACCOUNT NAME CONNECT [grayed out] CREATE ACCOUNT The thing is, the orange CONNECT button remains grayed out even after I begin typing in my username in the text field. What is happening? Do I need to download this massive "Game Client" first? - not sure what that is (sorry I'm so ignorant on this, I haven't played a PC game since Diablo II). please let me know what you think. Thank you in advance.
Username as in email address associated with the account, right? I've noticed the CONNECT button stays grayed out until you enter a valid email address.
You need to type your Battle.net account e-mail address into the first box. That is your USERNAME. Once you do that (and enter your password) the Connect button will become clickable. Lots of people got confused about this during the beta as well. Took me about 60 seconds, so don't feel dumb. Good luck!
