The starcraft editor is really really starting to piss me off with it crashing. I can't do anything without it crashing except for putting terrain on the map using the terrain editor. I have been trying to create an upgrade for the lurker which increases its attack range. Every time I put Lurker in the Unit Array field then go to Effect Data Reference and add the Lurker attack it crashes. I move the LibertySC2Campaign dependency to the middle so LibertyStarcraft Multi is at the bottom and LibertyStarcraft2 at the top. Otherwise the lurker isn't in the editor. When I look at a different upgrade to get ideas on how to do things it crashes as well. What is going on? Can anyone help? I am just about to give up on the editor.
Possible just you. Can you post a dxdiag here and I'll take a look? I have an old dxdaig for you dated "8/28/2010" but I'm wondering if you've made any changes.
I really can't track that down dude. I'm really lost. I'm an awesome hex editor, but even reading a 500kb memory dump and figuring out exactly what happened.. its really beyond me. Sorry. Are your Intel chipset drivers installed? They look like they are installed (if Intel Update Utility, they aren't installed, if they show up, they might need updating.) Unless its something silly and simple like that, I honestly can't offer any suggestiones... ....well.. wait, I do have one. Go into your nVidia control panel and make sure PhysX acceleration is disabled on the card. Its fixed issues in game for people... perhaps it relates to the editor as well? StarCraft 2 doesn't use PhysX acceleration but turning it off has fixed peoples crashing issues in game... maybe it can help you? Only one way to find out...
Can I find the Intel chipset drivers in device manager? Intel Update Utility doesn't say anything about it.
Did the tool say you had no Intel hardware, or that you the latest drivers are installed? If it said no Intel hardware was detected, you can download the chipset installation utility. Did you try the PhysX option?
