So, long story short, I received a key from my friend and downloaded the SC2 client from Battle.net. After waiting about 5 hours, i went through installing it, and i ran into problems. After checking with my friends, It seems I am missing quite a few folders, and I have folders he does not. Every time I try to run Sc2, I get 3 things to pop up in my sc2 beta folder. 1. sc2-2.1.2.1406-2.1.2.1533-x86-Win-enUS-tools (limewire) 2. sc2-2.1.2.1406-2.1.2.1533-x86-Win-enUS-tools-component-dl 3. A updates folder. This is after the "Installation complete" part of the installation process. My logs say: 02:43:58.8812 Launcher version 2.1.2.1406 02:44:17.5278 Time-out while loading patch notes from 'http://www.starcraft2.com/launcher/patch-notes.htm' 02:44:18.2757 Failed while patching. Command was 'download sc2-2.1.2.1406-2.1.2.1533-x86-Win-enUS-tools.torrent'. 02:44:18.2757 Failed to run Downloader from 'sc2-2.1.2.1406-2.1.2.1533-x86-Win-enUS-tools-component-dl'. 02:44:18.2757 Unable to download update(s) from Battle.net. So every time I start up Sc2 Beta, it brings up the patch loader, brings up those 3 previously mentioned folders / files, then closes immediately, and nothing happens beyond that point. Also, I have : 1) Completely uninstalled then reinstalled the entire folder (yes this means the 5 hour d/l using the blizzard downloader.) 2) Ran program as administrator 3) Manually downloaded patches ( although I cant find anyone who knows where to put them) 4) Had a friend send me the missing files. No matter what I do, nothing works... Please Help! I run Windows XP operating system
