Starting about two days ago i have not been able to play multiplayer games at all because when i hit search it eventually finds somebody but the countdown never happens to take me to the pre-game loading screen. It just gets stuck at the "players found" stage. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Okay, as anything changed in those two days? Did you install something like PeerBlock/PeerGurdian, or change networks, move into collage...? Post a dxdiag dump. To run dxdiag=> Windows_logo_key+r, dxdiag. If you have 64-bit windows, click the button at the button that says "Run 64-bit DxDiag," Then save all the data by clicking "Save All Information..." zip/rar the text file and attach it to the post. Instructions on how to zip here. To create a rar file, first download and install winRAR then read this guide here.
Are you behind a router and are sharing internet? Have you installed anything like PeerBlock/PeerGuardian? You got yourself one sweet Asus laptop dude. If it was a video problem, I'd recommend the newest 10.8 ATI drivers. Also, are you playing online via the wireless or plugging in with ethernet? If its wireless, you may have some kind of interference. If you do have a router, what make and model is it?
Im plugged into the internet jack in my dorm. I'm in college so i dont actually have a router and they haven't changed internet services or anything like that since been here so I really can't figure out what the problem is. I know consoles have been working fine and I was playing games with zero lag just a few days ago.
It's simple, its your collage internet. They are probably blocking bittorrent traffic, rendering you unable to patch or play the game correctly. Contact your/walk to your IT department and make them aware that StarCraft 2 is no longer working correctly. They need to setup the proper port forwarding. Chances are they made a change that is messing you up.
