I've been trying to install the game for the past week now and have been hugely unsuccessful !
When i tired installing from the disk i get
The installer was unable to read the file "fileset.IX86\Versions\Base15405\SC2.exe". This error may be caused by problems with the media or drive at <unknown>--for example, a scratched or dirty CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, hard drive corruption, or a networking problem while downloading the installer. (The error code was 0.) : DecompressJob::Execute()

or errors around the same thing around 2% and 4x% I tried downloading the online version of the installer off Blizzard but that has come up unsucessful too!
    Please help me !

Read FAQ. Take DVD out of drive when your downloading

First thing I want you can do after posting the dxdiag here(Click here to learn how to make/post a dxdiag), is to open a command prompt and run check disk. TO do that:
    1. Run CMD as administrator (follow instructions)

    2. Once CMD is open as an admin, type "chkdsk c:" and let it run. If errors are reported, run "chkdsk c: /f" and when it can't force 'all open handlers' closed, keep pressing 'y' until it presents you the option of running on boot. Once you know chkdsk will run on boot, restart the computer.

Good, so we know its either a file system or hard drive issue. You are missing many drivers that should be installed in the system. The biggest thing is, I need to know the model number of your hard drive, but its impossable to tell in the dxdiag because you are missing so many drivers.

This is a link to you motherboards website. Here you can find all of your missing drivers. I will list the key ones to get:

    -Intel INF installation
    -Intel SATA RAID Driver
    -GIGABYTE SATA2 Driver
    -NEC USB 3.0 Driver
-Realtek Function driver for Realtek Azalia audio chip
    -Realtek LAN Driver

You also need to download and install the newest nVidia video drivers, but that can wait until we know what hard drives you have.

After installing all of that chipset software and hard drive controllers drivers, run dxdiag again and post it here. That should finally give me the hard drive model so I can get you a tool to check and make sure that hard drive isn't failing. (It will also make games run wayyy better).

When your booting the machine next, hit the "pause" button when it is starting up, and see if you can read the date and version on your BIOS. Your verison would be something like F1,F2 (always starting with an F).

Also, what are you using for virus protection? Just curious, although I highly doubt that is the issue at hand.

Did you install any of the drivers? It doesn't appear that you have. You may have to enter your BIOS to get the correct version. That BIOS you listed is the BIOS for your hard drive controller (yeah, lots of stuff have BIOS's, that's confusing @_@).

Anyway, you were able to post other information that I wanted to know, your hard drives. First, install all of that software I listed, then download SeaTools for your Seagate hard drives. I'm not sure how well SeaTools will run when not in the proper hard drive mode.. it may or maynot make a difference.

I would install those drivers regardless, they will help improve your systems performance.

As for the system BIOS, you can download and flash the F8 BIOS if you want to me sure you have the newest BIOS. That is also available on your motherboards website that was linked too above. You have a "duel BIOS" installed in your system, so if you fail to while flashing the motherboard, you can always switch to your "backup" BIOS chip.

How do i get to F8? I`m not really sure what to do with the files.

Well, the ram may have been bad, but now you have the software installed to really make the game play well, so the effort wasn't wasted at all man. Take it easy.
