In conjunction of Starcraft II beta test release. I want to share this to every starcraft fan. I am a computer guy, I like computer very much even I want to make it to talk to me. Anyone know about Voice Recognition? Text to Speech? You might see these technologies in mobile phone or some funny machine. Actually, since Window XP. Microsoft has installed a speech engine in the window. We can train the window to listen to us. Tech it to listen us well for different accent of English. I am a programmer. I am totally crazy with advance and high tech stuff. Now. Star trek is my favourite. ("Computer generate report!!!"). Hey, no one will type so much in star trek. Isn't it? Lady and gentleman, I like to present to you my small litter program. I call it Starcraft Commander. This litter simple program enable player to use voice to command the actions. I give you an example. Double click the terrans marines and say Steam Packs. Automatically, the marines are packed with steam. Hahaha.. This is super cool, real command real voice and real action. I think this changes the game playing experience in total. No more shaking hand on the hard to remember shortcut keys. A lot of them. I tested with first version of star craft. It works fine. I only have the Terrans' Command in the file with extension xml. You can simply open it up and add other race's command. Nice ! I am trying to run your voice control. But nothing..... I am under windows XP Ultimate Service Pack 3. Will this work ? My microphone works very well. I don't see how to configure the voice. I play the French version of Starcraft Brood War. Maybe if you explain step by step better than what you wrote in your site it will help more. Help please. Well if this technology works it could be funny to request it for Starcraft 2. But as Aurora said it is faster to use the hotkeys and shortcuts to play. That needs another way to play. Another habit. This is perfect for people with only one hand or limited use in one, that still want to play SC. You should try to get a patent on it and sell it to Blizzard, but for *** sake tell them after release so they'll work it into the following patch and don't even stop for a second to read your mail
It could be. I just launched Bit Defender to scan my computer. Strange because when I launched this executable bitdefender hadn't warned me .....
He should be making this for WoW. Those countless bars and shortcuts are one of the reasons I don't want to play that game.
Never played to this game anyway. I heard and read too much about this game that I am disgusted a couple of years ago. Warcraft 3 here, WoW there, add-on, patches, etc ... etc .... I just use my mouse most of the time in playing starcraft 1. Never got problems. I use sometimes some shortcuts like CTRL and SPACE. That's all. And I know to play. About the voice controle the idea looks great. But indeed that's too much. And not really necessary. BIT DEFENDER is still working right now. 55 minutes that it is running. EDIT : Bitdefender has scanned all my computer. It took 2:30 hours. This program that our new member created is not a spyware or any virus.
I would highly suggest this renovation for the disabled! way to go dude, you just made starcraft even much more accessible to all the fans! Hope you could finish that program of yours and get it licensed and authorized by Bliz.
I know this is an old topic, but It's not running on XP. I have Windows .Net Framework V3.5, and 3.0. Does anyone know how to fix this? I keep getting an error when I launch the program.
