Heliattack 2

One of the greatest and most addictive internet game I've ever played. And the fact that it's in the starcraft2forum arcade, makes you want to reach high score all the more.

However, this game ain't just a walk in the park. It requires strategy, cunning and hours of playing (believe me ;D).
So, why am I bringing this up? I've played this game more than 20 times and my highest score ever was merely 80ish helicopters. That's about 30 helicopters from the high score T.T

For Heliattack 2 pros, please share your strats, your top score and feedback. It would be awesome for everyone if you did.

(P.S. Glitch #1- If you fire an atomic bomb under the rocky ledge near the far right, you'll be forced underground :good: )

 

It surely is a nice flash game. The problem is that if you want to get a decent score it will take a long time to play and it also ruins your wrist (which is bad for me, as I play guitar regularly). When I got my highscore on the previous scoring period (1101 helis) it took me so much time that I eventually lost interest and died.

Some of the weapons are pretty useless. Crapplecannon's slow reload renders it practically useless. I don't use the grenade launcher either because of the short range. Other than that there are no magic tricks. Just shoot and dodge.

 

Nuke is much faster insta-frag. Even standard machinegun kills faster. But of course you don't need to concentrate on shooting while grapple is reloading. I just don't like it.

 

i got 114 helis before that wasnt top score......i think scarecrow is right with 1101 which is insane.....

I played the part three long ago and it didn't quite have the charm of part two, which keeps it simple.

 

part 3 is more of like an adventure game than an arcade game to me. you guys ever tried mac10 on time rift? lol. i love bullet barage.

 

That's not very practical. When the heli dies lots of bullets might go to waste.

 

it really depends if a heli shows up right above you.

 

I think super jump is your best friend

 

yeah, especially if cornered.

 

heli attack though addicting is pretty tough,i guess i was never really good at it lol ah well, the 2nd will always be better then the 3rd for me. It just feels alot better. And ya, the grapple cannons long reload is pretty useless
