I can't seem to win against any early zealot/stalker push as zerg. Somehow I never seem to have enough roaches/hydras to fight off the push.

I know I am a bronze league noob, but I'd like to get better. What are the obvious mistakes I am making in this match up? Two example replays are below.

I watched the Xel Naga Caverns one.
    Points:

YOUR SCOUTING DRONE IS DOING NOTHING IN HIS BASE
After you see the one gateway, you need to constantly move your drone around in order to see more and as you can see he saved up his chrono boost for some early rush
    Liar Timing
You upgraded to Liar very fast without considering the possibility of early rushes since you are still int he bronze league. and WHY WOULD YOU GET LIAR OVER ZERGLING SPEED FIRST???
You had NO IDEA that he was coming for you until he was at the door
Solution:CONTROL THE XEL NAGA TOWERS; I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH!
Put a single ling outside his base near his ramp so you can see when he is moving out and with what kind of force. If you prepared a couple of zerglings you could have scared him off.

You have 280 gas and liar upgrading and still no zergling speed even though zealots are rushing to your base.

You did not move your floating overlords
When you saw the cybernetics core building the 1 stalker, you should have immediately moved that overlord out of his base and due to that overlord, he has 3 zealots and a stalker and you are supply blocked putting you in a very bad situation

    Mineral Saturation
You had 15 drones mining all your minerals and taking a double gas. Wtf? Need 24 drones at least in your main so 3 rows are filled with drones.

Suddenly there is an oversaturation of drones at 9:31 and no expo with the toss taking an expo. 1 base zerg will lose against 1 base toss. and the toss is taking an expo.

    SUMMARY:
Get ling speed with first 100 gas. ALWAYS AGAINST TOSS
Obtain map control with lings. Kill all scouting probes and lone zealots. poke around at his front.
    3-4 spines at the front
    Pump drones
Put 1 ling at his front
    then when he moves out
    queue up lings
You had lost the game when your hatchery went down

You could always hit me up in game for some advice.

Kaiiii pointed out everything really but, if your going to do roach/hydras you can't have the mind set of rushing it out with nothing stopping you...

Start with Slings/Roaches and then transition into your Roach/Hydras later. Shoot against players who play like that I usually just win the games massing Slings/Roaches.

For the longest time he didn't use any sentries too, just use your roaches to tank all the damage from the upfront zealots instead of having your slings get up in their face and owned, maneuver your slings around and own all the stalkers.

How can liars be timed? You order them to tell lies at designated times or in responce to some statement?

An upgraded Liar tells lies more subtletly or does he say bigger and fatter lies that are easy to discern?

    Obvious troll is obvious :p

On a sidenote: If the guy was considering all that stuff "since he's in bronze league" he should have moved up already, hence it's another type of help he needs, which is: working on the basics, I'll watch the replay and comment on the actual rep in a while. Or tomorrow need to study a bit too. But there's no need to go all caps on some guy asking help in a low level match saying stuff like "OMG MAN YOU SUCK YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS AND THAT AND THE OTHER AND CONSIDERS OPTIONS A, B and C AND WITH BETTER SCOUTING YOU COULD HAVE PREDICTED THAT" that's just both kinda rude and not answering the OP. A bronze level player needs more basic tips on stuff to keep in mind, when and after these are cleared then he can move on to making their strategy more compact and react to situations. And that takes some practice...

Hey man, the first part was an attempt for a joke, the second part was an exaggeration trying to say that when someone's struggling through the basics there's generally other stuff that he needs to improve first like keeping up a good macro, not getting supply capped and generally following a basic plan, that the little bit more advanced stuff will confuse him.

    When you said for example:
YOUR SCOUTING DRONE IS DOING NOTHING IN HIS BASE

And a low level player tries to fix that, he'll waste his apm in trying to do better scouting when in fact he could use that effort to make his build more solid instead. There's less strategy and more mechanics involved at low levels of play and that's quite natural.

    Or stuff like:
"WHY WOULD YOU GET LIAR OVER ZERGLING SPEED FIRST???": It does seem intimidating and you can't really give a strategic reply to that when learning the game. You just have money and it feels good to spend it that way. When your build becomes more solid and tight then you start thinking "where's the best place to invest that money?" but when you're mostly trying to focus on basic stuff thinking "am i forgetting something important? oh I have gas! Where can I use it? Ah cool I could get a lair! what else?" getting someone to shout at you(or just seem like it for using caps and exclamation marks) for obvious strategic mistakes, when what you need is not a better strategy but better bacis mechanics then it might get a little confusing.

I really didn't want to offend your post, I just don't think that that is the piece of advice a bronze level player needs. Learning happens one piece at a time and brom the base upwards, and when you are struggling with the base and someone keeps telling you "up there, you made this and that mistakes, fix them!" it's kinda easy to get lost.

Honestly I didn't mean to offend, I just tried to look at it from the perspective of a player and it looked kinda scary, that's all...
