Have to pay for BattleNet?

    Just a question, do you need to pay money to play battlenet. Like monthly fees or you just buy it with 59.99 and its ALL urs forever.

    I believe some maps would be up for sale. Maps that get famous like DotA will have a cost. :(

    No fees, some custom maps will have the ability to be pay-for-download. There will be price caps.

    ok thanks, so if i buy the game i dont need to pay anything for battlenet online stuff...?

    Blizzard would have riots if they charged a premium for monthly Battle.net play. The game really doesn't warrant it. It's not a MMORPG like a WOW that would require that sort of constant funding for continued game play development. What would they do - make more maps? I bet there are fans who will make better maps than the Bliz team. Look at all of the great UMS maps that came from the original Starcraft. I hope Diablo III is the same way, with the free B.net, but I won't count on it.

    didnt they say specifically
    DOTA would NOT be a premium map, they're looking for original concepts?
