Hello, I'll use this as both an introduction post and paralleling that, a *beta experience* post. I'm 20, permanently trying to get into the military, I love video games, I work two full-time food service jobs. With that out of the way, I'll throw out a couple meaningless thoughts about the beta and see if I can't get some resourceful responses. 1) I love the in-game music, it's addicting and has excellent replay value, after about 35 games of playing I continue to leave it on both "continuous play" and at 90% parring my combat sound effects and ambiance. 2) I lag and crash a lot, through research I've found the crashing to be due in part to it being beta, which I fully expected. The lag however, I feel is a connection issue. The "game loading" screen which shows players loading into the game generally shows me loading last, and I'm dropped from 60% or so of the games I attempt to play, any thoughts? 3) In my title, I posted "Hardcore Horrible". I consider myself hardcore horrible. This will bring up the debate on a "hardcore" player. But simply using it as a means of time investment, I've invested MANY hours into gaming, enough so much that I could have attained something more proficcient such as a high level academic degree. Though that wouldn't bring happiness. That being said, with how much I play, I'm still HORRIBLE. Maybe my head is just to dumb to get good and fast at macro / micro mechanics, though in some of the videos I've witnessed, some of the best SC players are not geniuses by any standards. Any thoughts on this as well? More replays? 4) This forum as a very attractive interface and color balance, additionally after browsing many forum posts, there's a good balance of intelligence and articulate posts, as opposes to the cesspool that is the battle.net forums. 5) This is a long post, my apologies, but I don't post much so it makes up for what I won't say later. 6) This post was by no means as "beta-related" as I insisted in the beginning, thanks for your time.
@#2: Are you on a NETGEAR router? I had the same problem with that. I had to use the direct connection to the modem. I've never had that problem before.
