I recently got home and was checking my email and I got a message from blizzard saying my password has been changed. My computer is on scheduled scans every day and I am rescanning now just incase of a keylogger but I honestly don't know how this could have possibly happened. I don't share with anyone so I am really confused. I emailed blizzard and am planning on calling them tomorrow when they're lines are open but I can't remember my question. Will I be able to recover it or am I screwed?
Well it's a little late for that now... Thank you though. I will consider getting one if I can get my account back.
Yeah I looked into the store and saw that it was for more than just WoW but that still doesn't solve my problem of getting it back. I think my only option is to call them tomorrow morning. Haha just scanned my computer and found a trojan.gen -.- Now im pissed off. At least I know the problem though. I think thats the problem anyway. Could those be keyloggers?
Depends, really. Also, do you have a Droid or an iPhone? The Blizzard Authenticator has an App that'll work for you for free. Might be the quickest and easiest way for you to get your account back.
For our purposes, works the same. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battle-net-mobile-authenticator/id306862897?mt=8 Put that on your pod.
Have you tried to actually login? I'm always getting tons of messages my account details have been altered when i havn't done anything. Either it's a bug or just phishing emails...which i hope you didn't then follow and thus lose your account.
Same here My brother had his SC2 account hijacked, they had put a keylogger on his machine and "borrowed" his SC password. When I called blizard they said it was from China and that most of the cases of this happening were. They suggested he use the mobile authenticator and both he and I decided to do it and it is simple and easy! They wouldnt give me the IP that did it thought...shame...coulda had fun with that ^^
Haha yes that was the first thing I did. I have the account back now. I cleared the Trojan and figured out my security question.
