I was streaming trought this site: http://starcraft.wikia.com/ When i found this: http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Drone StarCraft II In StarCraft II, Drones are rallied separately from other units.[4] So it seems like Blizzard arent completly forgetting to make the Zerg able to macro. I was worried that you couldnt use the new feature to really you Hatcherys to minerals as you can with Protoss/Terran, because all unit would move to that point. I then followed the link to this site: http://www.sc2blog.com/2008/03/16/starcraft-2-korean-and-chinese-build-summary/ Thats a good article about the chinese/korean build, not the american! Perhaps some of this has been posted before, but its the drone part i wanted to show! A few members at least were worried about how usefull the new features would be for the Zerg, including me, and now we have our answer: They are damn usefull! Edit: As I can see the same topic was already posted here: http://www.starcraft2forum.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=47&topic=6528.0;topicseenI Still I dont think this is a double post, because Im talking about one single aspect!
Thanks for posting it but the double rally point is nothing new, I saw it several times somewhere, I belive it was in these forums. However on topic: Its nice that Blizzard concentrates even on small details like this which help to make the gameplay perfect in every aspect.
I've always hoped that Blizzard would give workers in SC2 the same rally functionality as those in WC3. Separate rallying for drones makes sense.
I like this addition. Having a separate rally point will definately make things easier. My micro was never great, so I would get drones mixed with my army since they had the same rally point, and I would forget about them until 5 minutes later when I move my army for either offensive or defencive reasons.
I'm only happy about this because it'll be an improvement because I dislike having my Drones think they're Hydralisks/Mutalisks/Ultralisks and begin foffing about in the front lines, thinking they can take on Zealots and various Terran or Protoss murderers.
