Hi there, I am now considering purchasing a laptop and have been shopping around for a while. Obviously, I'd love for this system to be able to run our favorite game on Ultra with few hiccups. Here are the graphics cards I am looking at: Base: 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 5730 Or, I can spring $200 more bucks for this guy: 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260M Have any of you had luck using these cards? Would the GTX 260M's performance be significant over, say, the Radeon 5730?
The 260M is a pretty big step from the other two, if you are getting the laptop specifically for gaming, it's probably a good idea, if you are getting the laptop to sometimes play games on, well, it is $200, which ain't pocket change, at least, for me Out of curiousity, where are you getting this from?
/agree i have an alienware mx17 with the 260m, as well as an extreme quad core proccessor overclocked to 3.0 ghtz Runs SC2 on ultra noooo problems =)
