So I was happily playing SC2 just after release, but as I got further through the campaign it would crash more and more often until it just wasn't worth the loading wait to play any more. Anyway, for various reasons I didn't try and fix it at the time. Since then, I've formatted my HDD and got a fresh install of Windows 7 (was on XP before). SC2 is one of the few things I've installed since then, I figured it might not crash anymore. Anyway, it didn't crash for a while (I started the campaign from scratch). Now I'm a fair few missions in (doing the one where the firewall comes across the map gradually at the moment) and the crashes are, again, happening more and more frequently. Earlier I had a game loaded, hadn't played it yet, paused it for 3 minutes or so and it crashed. When it crashes, the graphics go all funky (lots of triangular shaped glitches, no crazy colours or anything) and the menu still functions for a bit, which means I can usually save before it dies. Now my guess is that it's overheating. I wouldn't have bothered posting about this if it weren't for these two things: 1. Doesn't do it with other games 2. Gets progressively worse the more I play SC2, which doesn't make any sense Anyway, if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Sorry if this post is a bit long but I wanted to make sure I put all the info up so it's easier. Edit: I have the latest graphics drivers and already tried the framerate limit fix, to no avail. Edit2: Foolishly didn't mention what my card is, it's a NVidia Geforce 9600 GT.
