I've been watching quite a lot of Destiny streams lately. But only recently did my GPU driver decide to crash randomly during the stream. It happens when the stream is visible, be it in embedded form or fullscreen (I have it open right now on a different tab and it doesn't crash). When it crashes the screen turns a random colour, then black, then everything comes back except the video, which remains green. Then I get a message from Windows in the bottom-right that the driver has stopped responding and has restarted. Here is what I tried and did not work: Driver change with driver sweeper. Tried to update to drivers 11.1 and 11.2 and revert to 10.6 (currently installed). Install ATI stuff with no wmv/vlc-1 thing (whatever it is). Turned off automatic deinterlacing in the CCC. Switched to Chrome in case of an FF plugin failure. My card is an HD5850 and I used to be able to watch streams with no problem. However, I recently updated my flash player I think, so I have yet to try and rule that out somehow I reinstalled it and it still crashes. I can't find an older version on the internet wtf. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Google only gave me posts about people asking for help, but not the answer. Alright, after an extensive web search I arrived at the conclusion that I had to do a quick RAM test, which showed 16 errors with only 5% coverage so I didn't bother letting it run for the whole thing. RMA it is, then. I wonder if this accounts for the texture glitches in SC2 though, since my understanding is that those are stored in the VRAM.
