Ghost looking guy with green stuff on him.

Seriously what the heck is this guy? I know you've seen him on the blizzcon posters and else where. What the heck is it? Is that a ghost or something else?

The general consensus is that it is in fact a ghost. However, this page implies something different.

 

what will they invent again ? ... pfff. Pitiful. The Gestalt Project, a Terran/Protoss Hybrid ?! OMG !! Blizzard !

 

I tought it was simply the cloaking device beggining to take effect...

 

None of the previous versions of ghost look like that even remotely. I mean what the heck is that green stuff?

 

It's not supposed to. It just shows that Gestalt Zero is wearing a ghost suit.

 

Yeah this is what I though also cause everything before the green stuff was transparent and everything after was normal...

 

some ghosts prefer green neon lights....other prefer blue neon lights....most of them however, prefer red neon lights. ?

 

maybe its just a design.. the actual fading effect of the ghost is gray,transparent something likethat

 

I thought of the new MMO when i first saw it... but it might be a new ghost.. I just think it looks a little to different to be a sc unit.. I mean the green stuff hasn't ever been in any of their arts.

Yeah confirmed its part of Starcraft 2 good call.

 

What is the big deal here? it just looks like a normal ghost with green coloring and the transparent effect could easily be some form of psionics or the the cloaking device.

Geslast Zero is described and pictured very differently than this, as this looks like a normal ghost.

I have to say you guys are REALLY trying to find something in this that really isn't there.

its like you guys are like "omgozor its ghost with green colorz and transparency. it must be teh super hybrid or some secret mysteory character!!!" which is rather silly.

 

It looks nothing like a normal ghost. Most ghosts don't have that green stuff, and they have very different goggles. If you don't believe me go look at the screenshots from SC: Ghost and tell me they look anywhere remotely like this.

 

As I said I don't find this sudden weird idea of Protoss Terran hybrid as good as some believe. Honestly I dislike this green ghost. Maybe it can just be a special unique unit in the storyline, but that's all.
This ghost has surely been developed by the Dominion because we see the Dominion flag (or just a pic) behind this unit.

 

I'd definitely agree on that. Terran dominion is the only government capable of producing this thing. What ever it is regardless if its this protoss terran hybrid or not. It most certainly isn't just some regular ghost.

 

Thats funny, I thought that was how ghosts looked in SC2, with the backpack and all. You know the marines don't look like regular marines in SC2 either they have different shapes and parts in some places, so I guess that makes him so uber mecha marine developed by a experiment holy ****!

I want a better argument or an argument at all instead of "he has a green color scheme" I'm sorry but you are looking too much into this. just because he has a slightly different equipment doesn't make him a super ghost, there are many varations in marines and ghosts.

 

True, while some minor changes were made to the marines. They aren't as big of a change, and in any case the ghosts you see in the videos blizzard released for sc2 do not have armor matching the one this thing is wearing.

 

Neither do the art of the marines, its hard to make in game graphics match excatly to the concept art. This is especially true in a RTS game where models and details are much smaller on units.

Still you have yet to provide any argument besides it looks slightly different than the ghosts of the older games, which in my opinion is to be expected.

You also have to realize the more advanced ghosts such as the spectres or the gestalt project ones are described differently than that concept art as well.

You know a lot of other units have art redesigns too like the Zerg but that doesn't make them some kind of super hybrids or hint at sublime thing.

There is always the possibility it could be but its very very unlikely and knowing Blizzard they probably wouldn't release a concept art of something like that to everyone so far before the release of the game. Finally what would you say about the figure in black in this artwork? http://images.wiki.wegame.com/i/Pl53r2Oh.jpg. that could be anything as well and doesnt look like any unit shown in sc2 now either.

I'm sorry but if your continually going to say the same argument you don't hold any credit at all and I will sum it up to imagination, wishful thinking, or looking too much into it as well as ending my discussion with you.

 

How exactly do you come up with only slightly different? This thing looks nothing like any ghost blizzard has ever made for both concept art, and graphic art.

So, I'll challenge you to show me any art work of a ghost that looks similar to this thing. What ever it is its no ordinary ghost.
