What are your favorite game genres? I like First Person Shooters, Real Time Strategies and Role Playing Games. What about you? What are your favorites? :gossip:
RPGs are my number one. Adventure games are fun, I love the Myst series, and Syberia, though I only played a little, is really awesome and weird. MMORPGs are just a natural extension of my RPG obsession
you forgot beat em ups (tekken, mortal kombat etc) My favourite is RPG, but I also like strategies, mmorpgs (those two get boring quite quickly, for me that is) and FPS. Also enjoyed some 'other' types, like Black&White (first) or Puzzle Quest (RPG meets Bejeweled) I didn't really play much adventure games so can't tell
I picked all but the simulators and sports although I do like some games in thos genres to, just not as much. My favorite are FPS's and RPG's. I also really enjoy RTS's and TBS's. I have to include Adventure games since I've played every single Tomb Raider and all expansions. It just kinda sad that the newer Tomb Raiders are so easy. The old ones were really hard, the new ones are for newbs who can't stand getting stuck. Its not Tomb Raider if you don't spend an hour going over every inch of a level trying to figure out what you missed. The secrets in the new ones aren't that bad though, I'll give em that much. they just made the main part about passing the level too easy. Now that that tangent is over, I also have to say I really like MMO's since I've played WoW to death and did play a bit of the original EQ, but then again I hated that game. I also like manager games, like sim city. I chose not to say I liked simulators since I guess that refers to flight sims but I haven't played one of those that I really liked. I decided not to say sports games because most of them are kinda boring. The football ones are ok but that's about it. I guess I like the football ones more because I'm a Nebraskan and am therefor cursed to love football.
^ ya...remember how hard the NES games used to be? (excluding mario)...wait...mario was kinda hard..well not really..Megaman requires lots of micro (especially megaman X4, X5, X6)
If you have DS get Contra 4 for the good old school feel. Just don't complain if the game beats the living crap out of you ;D
oo!! contra!! i rememebr that game!! i played number 1 on gameboy...man that was hilarious...was rpetty hard.. =P
FPS: Classic UT. You could say I grew up on this but I got bored because I didn't have competition among friends. RTS: AoE2 and Starcraft. I didn't/don't play much with them but I like them. I kind of suck at them ;D Simulators: Live for Speed. The only simulator I played and the only reason I actually bought a wheel. Immersing, great community and heaps of fun.
haha, tell me about it. I played the first one recently (NES ver) and after MANY tries I still got only as fas as boss on 6th stage. Though it's cool to see that the more I play, the better I get.
RPG (considering im a LOM fan) RTS (well, my dad plays C&C generals so im obliged to like it) Shoot em up strategy (WORMS WORLD PARRRRTTTTTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!!)
yeah, i know, ive gotten to mission 40 but i had to reformat my comp for virus, start over again atleast my deathmatch rank will be elite soon, starring the members of this forum
i always loved god mode battles with unlimited ammo and super weapons ARMAGGEDON FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Must have moar freespace I wish they still made simulators like Freespace. I miss them the closest I can come now is flying the aircraft in Battlefield
What's Freespace? Anyways I like FPS's (can't get enough of CoD4 right now), RTS's (SC, nuff said), and RPG's (diablo + oblivion)
