So I got to thinking one time when my mind was wandering and I began to recall old memories. After a huge train of thought, I eventually came to wonder what was the game that made me like video games. Probably the very first real game that I ever played was Ocarina of Time. That game introduced me to gaming as a whole and caused for a good amount of enjoyment. The game that really got me full into the pool however, was Mario Tennis. It might sound dumb, but have you ever actually played it? My god....one of the best games ever made. It definitely gave me many times of enjoyment and it got old very very slowly...which is, of course, awesome. So tell us all. What was the game(s) that started it all for you guys? P.S.- This doesn't go into "all time" games thread, because all I want to know is what game started it all and how you felt when you played it.
i got started with Donkey Kong 64 and Mario Kart 64; my favorite part being the fear of non-existant sharks everytime i had to swim from one DK island to another <.< >.> ...i know the makers didn't put them there, but they could attack at any moment...
Super Mario Brothers for the Super Nintendo, and then that branched off into various games such as Killer Instinct and Doom. First computer games would be Command and Conquer and Doom also. Oh those were the good times. Now its so crazy with games like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 but i am glad there is going to be a SC2 because we need an update with this game because everyone has been waiting forever. ><><SHOCKEM><><
my first game i'm sure was sonic2, then sonic3. after that some time i got a PS1 and got tekken at the same time my dad bought a computer. Now that computer wouldn't be woth s**t but it was good enough to play starcraft, and play starcraft i did........ i wish i had those days back
Not really sure if it was the very first one,but I can't recall anything before SUPAPLEX Anyone ever heard of it?
First three games I experienced at about the same time in kindergarten. Warcraft 1, Doom, Duke Nukem. Does this say anything about my personality? O violent games. Where would we be without you?
Duck freaking Hunt was the first one ever for me. Great fun. Then I discovered RPG's. It's been a downward spiral since.
I thank Itsmyship for starting this thread. After trying to remember the first game I played, I suddenly found in a far corner of my mind memories of my favorite game as a little kid. It wasnt the first I played, but it was one that got me started in PC games, though over the years and many computers later, I'd forgotten about it, even the name. After some brainstorming and google searching, I finally found a site that I was able to dl it. Hover! Its a version of capture the flag. There are only 3 lvls to the game, but they repeat, each time adding one more flag each side has to capture. It's a 3comps vs 1human game, but it evens out since the AI was terrible back then.
