G-arena: alternative to b.net or hamachi

    well, b.net and hamachi doesnt work for me, soo im currently using g-arena, its like hamachi but more
    you can play with anyone using LAN(UDP) and no more complicated steps and such

    you just need the latest version of starcraft and http://www.gg-game.com/download.html
    install GG, register, login, follow the steps you find there on how to properly setup game, find us, play
    theres a lot of people at GG and other games like CS, WC3 and COD4 are available so you can
    play with anyone in the world...

    i use currently use it and its aw3some.... sooo..... just ask any questions here

    (how do you put names on links.... my noobness knows no bounds)

    Sorry, but hamachi is
    - way simpler
    - way more popular

    You just need to sort your connection out. And if you manage you'll be able to play lots of people from this site.

    But congrats on finding an alternative so fast :D

    Nice double post. I got excited thinking it was a large server like bnet but its pretty much Hamachi isn't it?

    yea, but i think its a large server like bnet, there were thousands of players when i logged in
    but i guess you can use this as an alt

    plus: you can see the servers as well as the amount of players unlike hamachi, so you dont
    always have to synchronize matches and wait for so long

    Compared to bnet, is there any latency issues on this network aswell? Hamatchi does have the benefit of being both stable and there being alot of people using it.

    I thought the only reason people were using hamachi was to make it easier to play with others on this forum. Why should people use this instead of Battle.net?

    because not all of us are always online here and schedule matches
    hamachi cant display servers, and most people have troubles with b-net (atlest i do)
    like i said, this is an alternative if both (hamachi or bnet) doesnt work for you
