Just wondering where does a charge as large as one Coulomb naturally occur in nature? My book says that charges this large aren't usually encountered. Formal space junk ftw?
Depends on resistance actually. An ampere per second in a highly conductive material would give off very little heat, though it would have to b e really conductive I think. Course, if the material is resistive, then boom, heat production. That's actually the concept behind electric stoves, and I think electric blankets.
