Well I plan on making a clan sometime in the near future(as soon as the feature is available) So I thought I might as well post here and see if any of you feel the same way I do about certain things. Maybe we have some things in common, maybe not. I do have experience running a clan, I've always enjoyed being in a clan or leading a clan. What I enjoy more then that is structure and order. I'm somewhat of a natural leader when it comes to real life. My jobs have involved around leadership throughout years, not to mention I have lead clans/tribes/guilds throughout my time on the Internet(Tribal Wars, WoW, Diablo2, Warcarft3, Starcraft, Modern Warfare1/2 probably more that I cant remember) I've had success in almost all, aside from WC3. Having many different experienced in each game I've learned many valuable lessons and different techniques I could incorporate in the future. What I want to accomplish: I want to create a Clan with mature players, that have respect for higher ranking members. I do not want liars, whiners, quitters, anything than pride in your gameplay. I do not care if this is your first day in the game, if you have a great attitude and a will to learn than that is all that matters. Everyone will be equal, no one is going to get special favors, no one is going to get anything unless it is earned(welcome to the real world?) Everyone should have overall respect towards each other as we are one clan. Ranks: I have always preferred a military type of style in Starcraft... Why? its self explanatory The way ranks work in my book is, it is something you earn. I don't think its fine to just "Hey you've been in our clan for a month here is access to everything etc" What can get me a promotion? Well anything really, Skill, activity, level of contribution to the clan, loyalty, many others things are taken into account. I have many many other things that I have in store for this clan but I feel like I will bore you all into oblivion talking about it.
