    Black Friday.

    Woke up at 4AM.

    Psyched.

Excellent amounts of cash to be made today if you work retail.

    I do.

Maybe one caffeine pill would've been enough.

    We'll never know.

The sensible side of me does for sure. I mean, the retail industry literally CREATING a day that has people out and about before it can even rightly be called a new day? The Boise, Idaho store opened literally at Midnight. WTF?

But the part of me that likes money likes Black Friday.

    A lot.

A worker died after being trampled and a woman miscarried when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island Wal-Mart Friday morning, witnesses said.

The unidentified worker, employed as an overnight stock clerk, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m.

Witnesses said the surging throngs of shoppers knocked the man down. He fell and was stepped on. As he gasped for air, shoppers ran over and around him.

You say that as if USA is the only country where people get trampled to death.

Yeah, over the latest consumer products.

I knew it was going to happen, but damn, that was pretty quick. A shame about the miscarriage, could have been prevented, as well as the death of the worker. Did they not have any kind of organization? A way of not letting this kind of easily preventable tragedy happen? It's sickening.

No, but in a so called global superpower and richest country in the world? =/

and then, its not so much about the trampling, its about the cause of the accident. I mean, jesus, its just shopping and ****. Well, thats capitalism.

No /// there were no classes in the Soviet Union >.> Maybe only if nomenklatura is considered one, but its nothing now. Just some people who managed to make lots of money in business after the collapse, like privatising and buying up stuff previously owned by the government or communities, the oligarchs. The rest, everyone else, just lost all of their savings and everybody just became much more poor.
