    Ohi,

I searched throughout the forum (and other forums...) for a fix to my problem, and havent been able to find anything that I could even try to fix it.

I installed SC2 and clicked on the icon to start up, the game attempts to load, screen goes black, and my entire computer freezes. One time in about 50 attempts I was able to get the game to load, I watched the intro trailer where the guy is getting suited up, and I put in my login for battle.net, and when I hit connect the same thing happened. Computer completely locks up.

Ive downloaded all the recent drivers, defragged + reinstall, turned off all the nonessential processes, ran as admin, nada. Im running a 2.4gh dual core, 3gb ram, nvidia 8400 gs.

Ive had an easier time running crappy torrents than this game. Any advice is sure welcome! thanks in advance.

Please read my FAQ and post a full dxdiag dump. Also, in the FAQ, read about the nVidia overheating issue, try applying that fix, and post information on your temps with HWMonitor (use alt+printscreen to take a screen cap of the temp window).

    same problem......

    hi guys,

I recently bought this game because of the amazing reviews it was getting. :D However, after installing and updating, whenever I try to click 'Play', my pc screen goes black and am unable to get any response. I then have to reset my computer manually. >=\ As far as i am aware, i have all the latest drivers etc. I've added my dxdiag dump and my temp window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    :D

Sorry for the long wait for a response. I've been sorting out some personal issues at home.

Please post its make and model of your PC and I'll try to track down some updates. If you know what the motherboard is inside, post its make and model so I can check that out.

I also can't read your temps.. I have no clue why you pasted it into WordPad instead of Paint (you could have saved it as a jpg).

I would install Windows 7 64-bit instead of 32-bit. You are missing out on roughly 900MB's of your system RAM due to the 32-bit memory limit. Of course, I wouldn't do that until after we know where to get the drivers.
