Hello I just recently signed up to get some answers on an issue I am having. First off, Starcraft 2 is a beautiful game, graphics are awsome, and amazing my computer can run this game on High settings *Not ULTRA* but high settings very very smoothly. The problem I seem to have is after I played a few games 2 or 3 completed games, on the third game my computer will lock up, screen is frozen with tiny lines of small pixal shaped different color boxes across my screen. There is a noise from the speakers an eery noise that lasts for a few seconds then stops, then the monitor goes black, *no signal* is activated , keyboard doesnt respond, mouse doesnt respond, 1 option left is to hard reboot from the tower. I have messed with many different setting with no hope. I updated my graphics driver, graphics card is a Nvidia GTS 240. thats basically what happens when i play starcraft2. My computer is a Alienware Aurora and i got it from dell. P.S. I dont wanna say specifically when the game crashes it may not be 2 or 3 games but the first or 2nd, it happens when it wants too, I cant seem to find a pattern.
Stompface, Have you solved your problem yet? I have the same problem. It only happens to me on multiplayer and it occasionally happens when I'm watching a replay from an online game. It's really frustrating. Mine will either do what yours does, or it will freeze with the funny glitchy depixelization while the music still plays, and it will stay that way with my only option being a hard boot. Sometimes it has gone black and a few times I get the blue screen of death. Any help out there?
