    Hello,

I recently bought a new pc, but now i can barely play SC2, my three year old pc was running SC2 better
Now I got random freeze the screen freeze but i can move the mouse and i have to hard reboot, I also get lots of sound lag (music and unit ) the sound repeat like broken CD
and there are spikes, the game stop playing and restart 5 ou 15 seconds after

my drivers are up to date, maybe there is a problem with motherboard driver or so, i don t know
only anti virus run in background when I am playing, I am also thinking about buying laptop cooler

I will appreciate if you have any idea that could help me resolve this problem

That sounds quite serious. I myself don't know about reading dxdiag info but the cooler idea sounds feasible. Before you invest in one, maybe you should check your temperatures first. Google it, any piece of software should do.

    Hi,
I was speaking about cooler because it's a laptop :) ( I do not recommand the new DV6 HP )

But well now I know that It crash even when temperature is very low.
Today during first the minutes of game it crash for about 2 minutes and the computer was cold.
During game I get like 200 ips but the sound still very laging(like broken cd). It seams that while i am doing lot of macro it get whorse and at some point crash.

I am still investigating the source of the bug

    Ram?

Does it happen with any other program? Does the PC work alright when not running SC? Ive seen this before with my brothers old pc on another game.

What graphics setting are you playing SC2 on?

Hey guys, i think i have a solution to the sound issue. I had the same issue in starcraft 1. Go to your sound settings in the game menu. there should be a box checked called "reverb" or something like that. Check or uncheck it.
