I'd like to see more of Xel'Naga and the Hybrid to be part of the storyline.

But blizzard has plans to implement a fourth playable race base on kerrigan....

 

Hey now, you have to vote for one of each, both WANT and KNOW

 

why not a 5th? 6th? Like dawn of war with all expanstions.

Hello i am new here but imo it will both the xel'naga and a hubrid.
Or just 1.The reason is simple in almost every game blizz makes and its a sequel they add a race a class(diablo2) and so on...
So i think SC2 will be no exception.

 

I don't think that there will be a fourth race, but I bet the Hybrids and/or Xel'Naga will appear in the campaign as powerful NPC heros that you have to kill. Or something like that.

 

I hope its more than that!

 

I'm pretty sure Blizzard isn't going to add a fourth race, and I hope they don't.

And I agree with NotDeadYet's idea.

 

Depends on what you mean by race: playable, or just NPC.

If playable, I think no new race in Sc2, and Xel'Naga in the expansion.

If NPC, they'll all make an appearance in Sc2. It's just the next logical step to create intrigue.

 

Xel'Naga should not ba a race. They are the ancient powerfull guys. If they lived before the Protoss was born then emagine how advanced their tecnology are.

But I would like to know more about the Xel'Naga in the campaign, like maybe one shows up and do some nasty things

 

Yeah maybe few went rampant, like the dark templars in enslavers 2.

 

maybe all the Xel'Naga are dead... maybe i missed a few crucial plot details.

Hybrid is more believable as a playable, taking the protoss's former role as a very powerful, but very expensive race.

i dont know why, but i have a feeling that the toss get a bit cheaper, and a bit more specific, like how they wiped out marines easily, but failed horribly against siege cannons

Protoss didn''t fail horribly against the siege cannons, the zealots did. And thats all a tale of balancing again. If the Hybrid become a playable race they will be balanced too, have their strenghts and their weaknesses.

 

If there are any new race,do you think we can play them on multiplayer or only a campaign race, like the Nagas in WarCraft3 Frozen Throne.

I hope that when you have doned the campaign with the first 3 races and then PANG you can see the fourth race and play their capmaign in the history.
That would be a big surpise and totaly awsome ;D

Why not a fith race? Sixth? Blizzard is sure to have packed alot of secerets and unravled truths in SC2. Dont forget about features! ;D

 

Five races is really too much. The triangular gameplay of Starcraft 1 was very cool because each race had it's own clearly defined strengths and weaknesses. I think that there's room for just one more race, not now but in the expansion, but five races cannot be that perfectly balanced.
