Forum layout update

I see a lot of complaints about the current layout and I don't know whether people are just rude or cannot read.

I have stated many times (and so have the global mods) that the site is still being developed and is not final. The forums WILL change, it will just take me some time to do it.

Here is a sample the planned design, once again, nothing is finalized

I absolutely loath Raynor. Especially the StarCraft1 one.
Can we talk about what the new layout's going to be like here? Or is this purely a notification thread?

I apologise if I offended You in any way, though once again I say I was aware that it's not final layout and my complaining was mostly not serious.
Again, my apologies.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about the ney layout. I prefered the colours in the old one, there was more contrast and messages were more visible. Also it was much more compact, the user info alone will now take alot of space.
On the other hand, we will now have much more pets (wasn't an issue for my 4, but I would get past 5 someday ), race icons and - I believe - many more additional options that will make up for the disadvantages.
I hope you won't take this as another complaint, it's just how I feel about the sample (which isn't final, I know). Thank You for Your hard work and efforts to make this forum a better place every day

 

Yes, Meee I think you got used to the old layout too much, after some days you will get used to this too. I think it will be better in every ways. For me the only weird thing was, that the user info is displayed on the top of the post. But that is also good, since much more info fits in that place.

 

I can't believe there are seriously still people whining even in jest. And in actuality, it's not in jest, it's just an attempt to be like "Haha, I'm joking, but I'm really serious."

... See if we implement YOUR suggestions later.

 

I'm not saying that it's a joke, but just how seriously do you take someone whinning about placeholder layout?

Besides it was just yesterday as first shock or sumthin' I'm mostly over it already.

Oh, the new layout is awesome.I've been telling people, too. Maybe we can form a mafai and hit list all the people who are talkign bad about stuff? Granted, I was saying stuff, too, but I said I knew it'd be schweet later. Yay for awesomness!

 

That new layout is god-like!

I like that you can choose a race-zerg ftw! And the pets look good at the top, easily visible and the first thing you see when your looking at the post creator.

 

The only thing I think it needs is a little spot where you can see the person's power level, which i think is called "reputation level" now

 

I think admin didn't get to work on powerlevels yet, when he does it will surely be added there.

 

The new layout is stunning. I can't wait till it's implemented. I wanna see what the shop's like.

 

Very seriously. This is an entire site overhaul, even larger than the original layout change that we did and it's aimed to update the site and make it viable for the next couple of years. The change is absolutely necessary and it's the perfect time to undertake it.

So rantings about how terrible it is on a non-permanent basis ARE taken seriously. It's not fun to see posts like yours when you're already working on trying to fix it.
